Our service focuses on collecting specimens from individuals' location, following specific protocols provided by either the client or a contracted lab. Once collected, the specimens are delivered to a local drop-off location such as a lab service location or shipping carrier location.


On the other hand, we are also designed for short-term projects or events where you require specimen collection on-site. In this case, our team of expert technicians will travel to the designated location to perform specimen collection, and if necessary, they can also handle specimen processing and delivery.


Both services seem to provide convenient solutions for clients who need specimen collection and handling, whether it's in the comfort of their homes or at a specific location.


 *NOTE: We are not a lab and we do not conduct any lab testing. We do not have “preferred” lab partners as all labs are prospective customers. 


 

  1. To begin, you would require a lab order/script or lab kit from the requesting physician. The script can be faxed, emailed, or uploaded via this website. 
  2.  Then book an appointment with Lab On Wheel for a specific date and time.
  3. A phlebotomist or nurse from Lab On Wheel would be dispatched to your location to perform the medical testing you have requested. Please note that a 2-hour window should be allowed for the team to reach your location.
  4. After the visit, the collected specimens would be safely and securely handed off to one of the laboratories that Lab On Wheel works with. The laboratory would then process your specimen and handle the necessary billing with your insurance provider, if applicable.
  5. Once the laboratory has processed your specimen, they would send the result to the requesting physician.

It's important to note that Lab On Wheel is not a laboratory and, therefore, does not have control over the result turnaround times.


Yes,  the fees for Lab On Wheel services will depend on the specific service requested and the distance required to reach your location as our service is not billed through insurance  . It's advisable to inquire about the pricing details when booking an appointment to ensure transparency regarding the associated costs. 


 All bookings are subject to a non-refundable $39.99 cancellation fee if canceled at least 24 hours before the time of appointment. Any appointment canceled within 24 hours of time of appointment will result in a non-refundable full charge of services. 


Lab On Wheel does not offer refunds for concierge services in which healthcare professionals visit your location to provide services.  


 No. Lab On Wheel hires experienced healthcare professionals to perform blood draws, so an unsuccessful draw is not common. However, at times this may occur due to an improper preparation or simply for individuals whose veins are difficult to identify. In this case,  refunds are NOT issued for a blood draw appointment in which our healthcare professionals cannot draw your blood due to your improper test preparation (which includes things like fasting when necessary and drinking an appropriate amount of fluid prior to the blood draw) or for individuals whose veins are difficult to identify beyond normal limits.  


Rescheduling an appointment is allowable for no charge at least 24 hours before time of appointment. Appointments cannot be rescheduled within 24 hours of time of appointment. No-shows at time of appointment will result in full charge of services requested. 


 Lab On Wheel's at-home concierge service, which includes specimen collection and other related services, is not billed through health insurance. The payments made are specifically for the at-home concierge services provided by Lab On Wheel. 


 If you need to have specimens shipped to your lab, using the shipping materials (“lab kit”) provided by you or your supplier, our technicians will shuttle them to a local drop off site for your designated shipping carrier (usually FedEx, UPS, USPS).
